Amazing, isn't it? Way back when we were lighting the candles to celebrate our first birthday, you weren't even a twinkle in your parents' eyes.
And you are the key. The reason we're still aglow with drumming passion is you. Your talent, your raw enthusiasm for drumming—whether you're 16 or 66—keep us going. To be sure, this is a lifelong pursuit. We all have something to add.
The Montréal Drum Fest 2011 features a fine blend of veteran drumming savvy and youthful raw talent. That's the way it's been since day one and that's the way it's going to be as we venture together into the future.
So welcome to our 19th year, our last as an adolescent. Don't worry. We won't get old and creaky for one basic reason: You will keep us on our toes.
