Welcome to the Montréal Drum Fest 2010
It's our 18th Birthday!
At this point, we usually blow our horn and welcome you to our best Drum Fest ever. Since this is our 18th year, however, we will demonstrate our increasing maturity and essential humility by saluting you.
We're thinking that years from now, one or more among you will ascend to fame and fortune. All eyes will be on you as an interviewer asks about your secret. You'll smile and recall that special weekend, October 23-24, 2010—the one when you suddenly realized exactly what you needed to do to reach lofty heights. The interviewer will mention your now legendary dexterity. “Ah yes,” you'll respond. “Well I must credit the Montréal Drum Fest for that, too. I was so pumped with adrenaline I grew extra fingers and toes.”
We're glad you're back with us as we grow into our 18th year. We pledge to continue providing you with the scoop on drumming long before the others. And we take our hats off to our amazing performers, our expert team, and to our sponsoring companies, including those who display their wares in booths upstairs.
With your help and loyal participation, it's not surprising that the Montréal Drum Fest has matured into the finest gathering of its kind on the face of the earth.
